I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for colder weather. I am so excited for beanies, hoodies, scarves, sweaters… I pretty much want to skip ahead to the holiday season. To scratch the itch, I love wearing shorts with a pair of booties or a beanie. I also use this to transition between seasons. The unwritten rule is apparently, “You can’t wear white after Labor Day.” My excuse consists of two reasons: I took these pictures before Labor Day, and (don’t kill me) YOLO.
Okay but seriously, I just really loved this look I put together. It made me feel edgy and slightly closer to fall. These denim shorts were my dad’s old jeans that I cut into shorts and I love creating shorts this way. This really awesome, distressed white top is from Love Story, and the reason I got it is because of the open back. I couldn’t find another one like this, but I think this would be a very easy DIY project. I decided to go with a pop of color for the lace bralette, and mirrored sunglasses. My booties were my first purchase from Soto, and let me tell you, I’ve pretty much run them into the ground. I added the beanie as a transition piece in the outfit.
